David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading global professional services company who is seeking to onboard an English speaking Business Analyst for their Austin or Newport Beach offices.

Position: Business Analyst

Location: Austin, Texas or Newport Beach, California

Employment type: Full-time

Remuneration: Base salary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as a liaison between various business units and developers delivering new software
• Write technical specifications for complex business needs
• Solve real time issues within the production environment
• Work with developers in the testing phase ensuring quality of code; volume testing, script testing as well as testing designed specifically for new software
• Be able to generate regression testing scripts and analyze results to ensure rule correctness
• Provide solutions using supported software, make enhancement recommendations
• Validate supporting information using UNIX and SQL
• Develop and run queries in SQL to satisfy ad hoc data needs by business users.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in related field is essential
  
• Minimum of 5+ to 7 years' experience in same or similar role is mandatory
• Business analysis experience in an investment banking environment is needed
• Knowledge of SQL (preferably Oracle) is essential
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects with aggressive deadlines
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
• Experience with office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Experience in compliance operations is preferred
• Experience with Bloomberg is preferred
• Ability to travel on occasion.
