Job description

We are a locally-owned and operated business providing quality materials with personalized service. This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at Hamshaw Lumber, servicing wholesale and retail customers. Hamshaw Lumber is hiring for a building material specialist at our Keene NH location. This applicant should have window/door knowledge, lumber and hardware knowledge, or sales experience. Essential Duties:
Creating estimates and orders from outside sales personnel and customers
Sourcing special product needed to fulfill job requirements
Taking customer and vendor phone calls and responding quickly and efficiently
Accurate invoicing of materials and scheduling of deliveries
Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
Some store maintenance responsibilities as assigned by the Store Management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone.
High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED).
Valid driver's license
The ability to work weekends, holidays, and special events
