The Larson Group Peterbiltis looking for an experiencedBody Shop Service Writerto join our dynamic team at ourJoplin, MOlocation. The potential candidate will greet and consult service customers about their problems. This position advises customers on possible repairs and estimates, and communicates customer needs to the Body Shop.

Responsibilities:

  • Try to resolve customer complaints.
  • Responsible for closing out tickets, writes estimates and repair orders.
  • Ensure invoices are processed and billed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with warranty repair paper flow.
  • Informs customers of repair progress and advises of any changes to the repair order.
  • Supervise and assist technicians with the diagnosis and repairs of their jobs.
  • Assists in maintaining a clean shop and that special tools and equipment are in proper condition.
  • Pre-plan parts requirements for each job to make sure parts are available for repair.
  • Keep Body Manager informed of all customer complaints and technician problems.
  • Works with Body Shop Manager and Sales Staff to ensure sold trucks are prepared properly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Should possess a high school diploma.
  • A college degree or a certificate/degree from a trade school is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience; heavy truck experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Must have general computer knowledge.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Please note this is a safety Sensitive position.
