Job Description – Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)

Our center-based, clinical program implements Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with children, adolescents, and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (Autism, Asperger’s, PDD, PDD-NOS), ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, and other social, language and cognitive deficits.

  • The Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) operates within the Clinical Department and reports to their assigned Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • The Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is responsible for supervising programming, daily operations, and employee operations under Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Maintaining respectful, and professional relationships with staff in both the clinical departments and the administrative department.

- Maintain respectful and professional relationships with clients and their families.

- Maintain confidentiality of clients, families, and center by abiding by all HIPAA regulations.

- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping client and employee information confidential.

- Maintains clinical structure by adhering to established hierarchy and adhering to the policies and procedures governing the organization’s clinical processes.

- Oversee implementation of intensive & effective behavior analysis treatment protocols for clients, under direction of BCBA

- Work with ABA team & clients of varying functioning levels and ensure steady and stable progress is evident and observable for the various levels

- Complete data collection, daily logs and graphing requirements for each session including objective and constructive notes

- Work with BCBA to supervise implementation of treatment plan adjustments

- Provide on-going supervision as required of behavior aides

- Document all activities in accordance with guidelines and policy

- Supervise the creation & maintenance of client binders and data sheets with random spot-checks for compliance

- Communicate child behavior issues to BCBA

- Model, coach and provide feedback regarding interactions, programs and behavior during 1:1 and/or group parent training sessions as needed/requested

- Report progress towards treatment goals to BCBA

- Monitor treatment protocol integrity

- Oversee training initiatives of all staff members for compliance with both business & personal growth objectives

- Approve and sign-off on incident reports on immediate basis and escalates serious concerns when needed

- Monitor staff and ensure compliance with behavioral protocols

- Conduct positive, solution-based discussions with parents, employees, and other associated professionals

- Manages the supervision of staff adherence to policies and procedures and implements necessary disciplinary procedures, including termination

- Manage the comprehensive scheduling needs of both the staff and client schedules

- Attend organization planning meetings

- Provide input on center organization and inventory of materials on as needed basis

- Identify and introduce new ideas and solutions to create efficiency in the operation

- Check and respond to work emails on a daily basis and responds promptly

- Train/mentor peers and help create developmental benchmarks for their career paths

- Model, coach & provide positive/constructive feedback to ABA Behavior Technicians and Team Leaders regarding performance and policy adherence

- Maintain a high attention to the overall health & safety of the staff as well as the clients and make safety the first priority

Requirements

- Board certified as an Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)

- Experience interacting with children between the ages of 18 month and 12 years of age (early intervention) and experience working with adolescents is preferred.

- Possess excellent written and spoken communication skills.

- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrate excellent analytical skills.

- Demonstrate a high level of organization and independence.

Pre-Employment Screening:

- We are a child-focused and insurance credentialed company; therefore, employment is dependent on the results of a criminal background check (Federal, State, and County), the results of a pre-employment drug screening, and the verification of two employment references.

Benefits:

- Eligible for Health Insurance after 60 days of employment if employee meets the state’s full-time employment status (30 hours/week).

- Accrual of paid time off and unpaid time off begins immediately (prorated based on start date).
