WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Position Summary:

The Sr. Bloomberg Developer is responsible for the development of new functionalities and services within the Bloomberg Platform and the maintenance of connectivity, test environment, mappings and new rollouts. He/She is also responsible to support the strategy, method and implementation plan of new developments within the platform, along with the User Acceptance test phase.

The Sr. Bloomberg Developer reports to the Systems Development Manager.

Position Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Global AIM/Bloomberg platform administrator and developer
  • Responsible for the development of new functionalities and services within the Platform
  • Vendor Management and 3rd Party Risk
  • Maintenance of Connectivity, test environment, mappings and new rollouts
  • Support the strategy, method and implementation plan of new developments, in collaboration with leadership and cross functional teams
  • Analyze complex business problems and assess how automated systems can be implemented to solve them
  • Develop and define objectives and scope of business applications
  • Collaborate with business owners to collect a complete list of business requirements to document properly the overall purpose of the project, identifying stakeholders, recognizing multiple viewpoints, current system features, identifying the external interfaces required, classifying functional and non-functional requirements and ensuring the traceability of the requirements changes
  • Provide support during the User Acceptance test phase, helping users to define Tests Scripts. Collect and save test evidences for audit purposes.
  • Document implementation plan and coordinate the deployment into production all changes related to the project once approved by the business
  • Collaborate with Directors and managers to define, develop and prioritize technology strategy for the products departments.
  • Assist Business Continuity Officer to identify risks and potential process improvements and digitization of such processes.
  • Assist Project Manager to ensure developments are executed on a timely manner.

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Knowledge in T-24, preferred.
  • Professional experience and knowledge of financial information.
  • Deep knowledge of End to End Trading Systems.
  • Knowledge of Order Management Systems (EMSX, TSOX, FXGO).
  • TSIP, workflows and Gateway transformations (GNET).
  • Analytical skills to improve or develop new STP processes.
  • Technical knowledge of different methods of connectivity.
  • Knowledge of other buy side applications such as Market Axess.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience

Business Experience:

5-7 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency

Technical Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with
different level/market across the organization
  • Sound problem solving and project management skills
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and modeling skills
  • Problem solving approach oriented and customer focused
  • Teamwork and team spirit focused including flexibility

Licenses / Certifications

  • Formal education in Project Management – PMP/Scrum certification desired

Languages: English required. Spanish and other language is a plus.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
