BIS partners with insurers to deliver customizable and diversified portfolios of Blackstone products from our credit, real estate, and alternatives platforms, as well as the option for full, outsourced management of insurance companies’ investment portfolios.
Job Description:
Blackstone is seeking an experienced insurance client relationship management professional to work alongside the investment, asset allocation and business development teams. Core relationship management responsibilities will include:
  • Managing Blackstone’s cross-firm effort to serve key insurance clients including strategic initiatives as well as day to day activities
  • Working closely with senior leadership within BIS to set best practices, and implement improved processes across investments, operations, and reporting
  • Applying deep insurance expertise to help insurance clients meet their key investment objectives within pre-defined capital, risk, ALM and yield constraints
  • Working collaboratively with business leaders and various teams within Blackstone Insurance Solutions and the investments teams to oversee and be responsible for the creation and maintenance of presentation materials, investor reporting, and other investor communications
  • Working as a partner to senior leadership, asset allocation, and the fundraising team, facilitating the production of talking points, ad hoc presentations, and strategic projects

Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have:
  • 12+ years of experience working with insurance clients with proven track record of developing relationships and identifying new business opportunities
  • Strong product and insurance industry knowledge. Ability to effectively communicate and differentiate the BIS value proposition and the role it can play in portfolio construction
  • Experience with insurance capital, statutory accounting, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent judgment, interpersonal skills and strong ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of partners/stakeholders
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to learn
  • A collaborative mindset and foster strong working relationships across Blackstone investment, asset allocation and coverage teams
  • A detail-oriented approach and demonstrated track record of problem solving in a team-based, results-focused environment
  • Demonstrated ability to write effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Takes ownership and accepts accountability
  • Undergraduate degree is required

Expected annual base salary range:
$200,000 - $250,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
