As we continue to grow, we are searching for a full-time, experienced Medical Billing & Collection Specialist for our corporate office in Shelbyville, KY. We were voted one of the Best Places to Work for 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021!!

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Upload and log electronic remits from various insurance companies.
• Review, correct and reconcile errors from remit uploads, manually post payments as needed to balance.
• Run appropriate billing reports, review denied claims and re-bill claims as appropriate.
• Follow-up with insurance companies and payment guarantors to resolve issues and obtain payment.
• Monitor collection/aging worksheet monthly, working accounts and documenting progress.
• Answer phone calls, address billing questions for payment guarantors.
• Be willing to cross-train and fill-in other areas in the department.
• Collaborate with team members on re-billing or aging review projects.
• Participate in weekly billing/collection team meetings.
