Job description

The billing specialist will be responsible for maintaining electronic records, verifying and updating insurance benefits; billing insurance claims and recording insurance payments, maintaining spreadsheets, communicating with providers and miscellaneous administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will have mental health billing experience and even better if experience with Simple Practice, Excel and confidential medical record keeping.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
We are currently remote, but will initially be in-person with precautions to set up employment, training and provide laptop. Occasionally in-person meetings with billing specialist might be useful after fully onboarded.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Medical billing: 2 years (Required)
• Accounting software: 1 year (Required)
