ChildNet Youth and Family Services, Inc. is currently recruiting for a Bilingual RHAS Administrative Program Support for our Relative Home Assessment Services Program located in Long Beach, CA.

Relative Home Assessment Services (RHAS) program provides home environment assessment to applicants to ensure that they meet required standards in all areas, which include but are not limited to, home and grounds, outdoor activity space, storage requirements, fire clearance and capacity. Under the direct supervision of the RHAS Training Supervisor, the Bilingual RHAS Administrative Program Support is responsible for leading the childcare component of the program to ensure the health and safety of children in the office environment and to assist with administrative and training tasks. This position will be required to work varying shifts, including some nights and weekends.

Bilingual RHAS Administrative Program Support responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Complete proper registration of parents and children for check-in/check-out procedures during in-person training.
  • Assist with managing the childcare component and provide direction to part-time staff to ensure safety and well-being of all minors in our care.
  • Provide constant interaction with children, such as initiating games, arts & craft projects, while watching and caring for children to ensure their safety.
  • Perform general tidying after the children, such as cleaning and sanitizing child care toys.
  • Maintain a working area free of sharp or harmful objects by utilizing strong safety skills.
  • Walk children to the restroom.
  • Bottle-feed babies and/or assist in snack preparation/eating needs of older children in accordance with parental direction.
  • Communicate information regarding children to parents/guardians.
  • Assist with training component, such as making contact with caregivers who miss class and providing reminder calls.
  • Set-up training spaces with necessary equipment and maintain/update training module information for distribution.
  • Maintain training binders for new hires and assist with updating training logs of sign-in sheets and evaluations.
  • Manage training scheduling app and Outlook, including updating of attendance, etc.
  • Provide language translation from English-to-Spanish and/or Spanish-to-English for documents and training materials.
  • Assist with the auditing of cases and filing of documents in charts (both paper and digital).
  • Provide clerical assistance and support to RHAS program.
  • Assist and provide administrative duties for Foster Family Network (FFN) program.
  • Abide by ChildNet policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

The Bilingual RHAS Administrative Program Support shall possess:

  • 9 - 12 units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development (ECE/CD); OR
  • 6 - 12 months paid work experience in an ECE environment; OR
  • Have at least 2 years of work experience caring for children ranging in age from infant to teenager.
  • Must have a valid Child/Infant CPR/First Aid training certificate
  • Schedule flexibility is necessary and employee must be available for night or weekend shifts.
  • An associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in speaking, reading, writing and understanding Spanish is required.

All offers of employment with ChildNet Youth and Family Services, Inc. are contingent upon a post-offer, pre-hire medical clearance with an occupational physical, tuberculosis screening, and a negative drug test. A background clearance which consists of fingerprinting through the Dept. of Justice/FBI/Child Abuse Index Search is required. Underwriting requirements of this agency include keeping a valid California driver’s license, valid auto liability insurance on file, and maintaining a good driving record while employed.

ChildNet falls under the state vaccination mandate from the State Public Health Officer, as a healthcare facility, which requires all employees to be vaccinated/boosted or provide us with a lawful exemption.
