Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado or a licensed Psychologist, or (LPC/LMFT) in the state of Colorado; Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within 30 days of hire.
B. Experience: Three to five years’ experience in Behavioral Health acute care setting preferred. Broad experience in a healthcare setting. 1-3 years management experience in a Behavioral Health preferred.
C. Special Qualifications: Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, DSM IV, The Joint Commission, and C.R.S. 27-65 regulatory standards. Must have good awareness of all the legal and ethical issues surrounding the operation of out-patient behavioral healthcare services. Must demonstrate good organizational skills, critical thinking skills, leadership and problem solving skills. Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work with highly diverse population. Must be able to use computer applications such as Word and excel, and understand review and interpretation of data for process improvement strategies.
D. Degree of supervision required: Involves general guidance and direction by the Director of IOP/PHP. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

The Medical Center of Aurora is comprised of six medical campuses in Aurora and Centennial, Colorado, including the Main Campus, the North Campus Behavioral Health and Wellness Center, Centennial Medical Plaza, Saddle Rock ER, Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, Spalding Rehabilitation at P/SL, and medical office building at Green Valley Ranch. The Main Campus facility is a Level II Trauma Center with Primary Stroke Certification and Chest Pain Center accreditation, serving the eastern metro area and I-70 corridor.
