Job Summary

Overview: The Child Development Center is a nonprofit who partners with families to help support their children with developmental disabilities where they live, play and grow. We work in families’ homes and communities across western Montana. The Center is headquartered in Missoula, MT, with an additional office in Kalispell, MT.

The Child Development Center seeks a dedicated, compassionate and team-oriented employee to provide one-on-one teaching and support to a child or teen with autism. If this sounds like a good fit for you, we currently have a part-time (20-25 hours/week) opportunity available in our Kalispell Learning Center.

Job Details: With direction from the Center’s Autism and Behavioral Services team, a Behavior Technician (BT) implements interventions designed to help the child meet individual goals. As a BT, you would teach targeted skills to the child in their home and community, record data on skill development and collaborate with all members of the child’s team, including parents. You would be trained in the evidence-based strategies of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), an asset in this fast-growing field. This is a meaningful job opportunity with growth potential!

Qualifications:

Basic requirements:

(1) high school diploma or GED

(2) valid MT driver’s license & insured vehicle

(3) ability to pass background checks

Preferred qualifications:

(1) experience working with people who have developmental disabilities

(2) experience, background or interest in working with people who have autism (While experience is preferred, it is not required; paid training will be provided.)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
