NOTICE OF INTENT TO EMPLOY

POSITION : Behavior Services Coordinator

LOCATION : Fruitport Community Schools

QUALIFICATIONS – Must meet one of the following:

• A licensed master’s level school social worker
• A certified school counselor (SCL or NT)
• A MDE credentialed master’s level school psychologist
• A board certified behavior analyst (BCBA)
• A special education teacher (SA, SE, SM, SV)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead the district in all K-12 efforts pertaining to Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and Interconnected Systems Framework (ISF).
• Coordinate and coach all Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 building teams around the researched best practices in PBIS.
• Collaborate with community partners in an ISF model to provide wrap around services for students and families.
• Develop a warehouse of research validated interventions in behavior at all grade levels.
• Develop practices to make data-informed decisions that connect students to the appropriate interventions and allow for efficient monitoring of student progress in those interventions.
• Administer implementation and fidelity assessments to create short and long terms plans to improve both academic engagement and achievement.
• Work with a diverse community base while maintaining compassion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Follow and implement all Board of Education policies, administrative guidelines and building regulations.
• Manage state/federal funding source reporting requirements that support this work.
• Willing to perform other duties as necessary and/or directed by the superintendent.
• Attendance is an essential job function for this position.
