Bartender
Excellent Compensation at $12.00/hour plus tips with a guarantee minimum+ Free Membership! Fun opportunity to be a Bartender for our amazing events! Our bartenders serve customers beverages and concession food in event settings at both venues; Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science and Orpheum Theater Center.
What you will do!
- Assist with set-up and tear down of portable and stationary bars.
- Serves cocktails, wine, beer, soda, water, candy and snacks to Pavilion and Orpheum patrons.
- Ensures that all patrons that are served an alcoholic beverage are 21 years of age by checking ID s.
- Cleanup of bars and equipment.
- Restocking/filling coolers, bars and pop machines.
- Orderly upkeep of bar storage areas.
- Provide cocktail service or passing of champagne and other beverages as requested by clients.
- Set tables with appropriate glassware as requested.
- Clear tables of empty glassware and bottles/cans during events.
- Wash and organize glassware.
- Ensure that clients receive excellent customer service throughout the events.
- Ensures that proper safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
- Assist catering and event staff with other aspects of the event service, set-up or tear down, etc
What you will need - qualifications!
- Hours: Flexibility; Including day hours/evening hours depending on event schedule. Variety of shifts available.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to operate a POS.
- Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated tact and proficiency when handling sensitive customer service issues.
- Bartender experience is a PLUS!
