Job Summary

Meadowbrook Equestrian Center is hiring a full-time barn worker.

ABOUT THE FACILITY:

Meadowbrook Equestrian Center is a full-service boarding facility located in Sedalia, Colorado with 25 - 30 horses.

THE POSITION:

Meadowbrook Equestrian Center is seeking an experienced equine professional. As a barn worker, you will be working alongside other barn workers, boarders, and trainers.

SCHEDULE:

We are hiring full-time positions. Part-time positions considered. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

HOURLY RATE:

Starting rate is $18 per hour.

DUTIES:

Include, but are not limited to:

• Daily feeding and turnout of horses, including blanketing
• Cleaning of stalls and turnout pens
• Cleaning and filling water buckets
• Handling and basic care of horses
• Inventory of feed, hay, and shaving
• Basic upkeep/cleaning of barn

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Thorough horse handling experience is strongly preferred. Must be wiling to learn and not afraid of hard work.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Responsible, self-motivated, and organized
• Must be able to work as a team and have good communication skills
• Able to identify sick or injured horses
• Able to operate a tractor and pull various types of trailers (or willing to learn)
• Familiar with the duties of running a barn such as minor maintenance projects, repairs of the facility, and maintenance of the arenas.
• Must be customer service oriented.
