The Country Club of Lincoln is looking for outgoing, hard-working individuals who are 19 years of age or older for our private parties and banquet style events. The position is heavily team oriented and part time, with potential for full time opportunities. Both day and evening shifts are available. Hours vary based on what events are happening for the week. We are very flexible with scheduling around school or other commitments outside of work.

Here at the club, we have a strong philosophy towards personal development and skill growth. Our goal is to ensure every banquet staff member leaves their time with us with the knowledge and ability to serve anywhere in the world, regardless of their knowledge prior to working here.

Requirements –

Lincoln/Lancaster County Food Handler’s Permit

BOTH Lincoln and Nebraska Alcohol Server’s Permit

Able to push and pull items up to 50 pounds

Able to walk and stand for long periods of time (typically 2-4 hours at a stretch)

Serving Experience one year (preferred)

Duties and expectations –

The primary role of a banquet server is to provide guests with an excellent banquet experience, and all the myriad details that go along with that philosophy.

Serving members and guests in a friendly and efficient manner is a must.

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

Set-up and teardown of banquet spaces per the Banquet Event Order’s instructions. This includes tables, chairs, table complements (salt, pepper, sugar caddies, butter bowls, etc.), table linens, napkins, silverware, and all other event provisions per the specific event.

Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all banquet spaces, including storage rooms, serveries, and other non-guest facing spaces.

Serve all food and beverages to guests according to the Country Club’s standards.

Provide “cocktail service” during events by taking guests orders, putting the order in to the bartenders, and returning the correct drinks back to guests. Occasional money handling may be involved.

Maintain correct levels of product on buffets and drink stations.

Buss all dishes back to the kitchen promptly.

Adhere to grooming and appearance standards for every shift.
