Summary
Seeking a talented Pastry Cook excited about the opportunity to create a gourmet pastry program. The Pastry Cook at The Chatwal Lodge will oversee all creation, production, and organization of the Pastry and Baking program. This position works in tandem with the Culinary Director to create recipes within The Chatwal Lodge culinary vision. This will include breakfast pastries, breads, desserts and additional amenities for hotel guests. Candidates should have a passion for locally sourced, ingredient driven cuisine, and the ability to adapt to the dietary needs and special requests of guests. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and has the ability to think quickly to address challenges as they arise. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring team members.
This position will primarily have an AM schedule, but will require flexible availability including holidays and weekends. Michelin Star or Relais Château experience preferred.
Oversees all creation, production, and organization of the Pastry/Baking program. Includes, but not limited to, Breakfast Pastries, Bread, Desserts, and additional amenities for hotel guests.
Works in tandem with EC to create recipes within the Chatwal Lodge Culinary vision.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to adapt and think quickly to address challenges as they arise.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and mentoring team members
Experience in locally sourced, ingredient-driven cuisine.
Able to adapt to the dietary needs and special requests of guests
Pay range: $22.00 - $26.00 hourly
