Duties & Responsibilities of Vehicle Inventory Lot Attendant

Reports to: Sales Manager

Objective: To ensure Bison Motor Company vehicle display lots are clean & safe. Also, make sure all vehicles are clean & in working order for demonstration.

Hours: #1 Lot Attendant 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday, lunch from noon to 1pm

Additional time past 5 PM authorized for sold washes at manager discretion

#2 Lot Attendant 9am - 6pm Tuesday - Friday, lunch from 1pm - 2pm
9am - 5pm Saturday, lunch from 12:30pm - 1pm

Duties:

  • The vehicle lot attendant is responsible for any sold washes at the end of the day after Reconditioning employees have left. Please check with all sales managers before leaving to see if any additional vehicles need to be washed.
  • At 8am each morning, make sure that all Dealership display areas, building entrances & lot are clean & free of debris.
  • Fill all empty parking spaces immediately after lot inspection outlined above.
  • Move lot ready vehicles from Reconditioning to the lot promptly.
  • Ensure that showroom vehicles are dusted and presentable for customers.
  • Wash & vacuum every vehicle in display in a continuous rotation, weather permitting.
  • Review all vehicles on the lot daily to make sure they are clean inside and out and also in good repair for demonstration.
  • Check that all vehicles (including those on display, those inside the fence & those in the get ready rows) are locked and keys removed by the salespeople each night
  • Ensure that each vehicle has at least ¼ tank of fuel. Add gas to those that are low.
  • Make sure all federally required vehicle stickers are properly displayed at all times.
  • Rearrange lot display weekly as instructed by supervisor.
  • Line up vehicles in display & in storage so that display is straight & neat.
  • Supervise the check in of new & used vehicles from transports using checklist, make sure none are damaged.
  • Report all damaged vehicles, unlit lights or unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
  • Mow lawn & cut/spray weeds on display areas, sidewalks & around buildings as needed.
  • Supervise snow removal from all vehicles and lots.
  • Shovel snow from doorways and spread ice melt or gravel as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.
  • Maintain professional dress and grooming.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28,500.00 - $33,280.00 per year
