ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES:

  • Works with engineering, commercial department, and the plants to accomplish automation related tasks.
  • Proactively tracks vendor deliveries and interacts with assigned vendors pertaining to technical aspects of Automation/Secondary machines.
  • Installs wiring per schematics or direction.
  • Installs devices per schematics or directions.
  • Troubleshoots devices which have failures to understand the failures and determine required repairs.
  • Picks up items from vendors as required.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective system of communication throughout the organization.
  • Performs system requirements analysis, hardware design, PLC programming, integration, verification, and commissioning of controls systems.
  • Discipline and keeping up with documentation, programming guides, drawings, and the changes.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as well, depending upon the need of the organization.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Degree required.
  • Enrolled in or have completed an Associate degree in Mechatronics or Industrial Automation with formal courses in PLC programming, ladder logic, circuitry and various robotic systems i.e. Fanuc, ABB, KUKA; or 1 year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sound knowledge of servo controls, VFDs, vision systems, scanners, cameras, pneumatic required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, designs and specification.
  • Ability to communicate articulately and effectively, both oral and verbal, with clients, and all levels within the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to apply to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using engineering principals.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as product prints, product specification, metrology results, circuitry and performance validation.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion using engineering principals.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Understand the Fundamentals of A/C electrical circuits and low voltage D/C electrical circuits and operation.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, go up and down stairs, walk and talk or hear; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
