Position Description: Audit Manager

Reports to: Controller

Basic Function: An audit manager is responsible for organizing and managing External audits according to audit plans. The responsibilities of audit managers include overseeing the process of audits, making recommendations on policies, and ensuring that the organization fulfills international and governmental obligations of compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Strong experience managing External audits that include DCAA Incurred Cost Audits, Accounting System Audits, Forward Pricing Rate audits, Financial audits, and Banking audits.
  • Understanding of FAR, CAS, GAAP, IFRS, and ASC codifications.
  • Coordinates external audits.
  • Draft recommendations on corrective measures.
  • Research, analyze and conclude on technical accounting issues, including preparation of memorandums regarding the company’s position in a clear, logical, and comprehensive manner.
  • Monitor the activities of accounting standard setting bodies to ensure timely identification of emerging pronouncements.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date process flowcharts with detailed process descriptions, risks, financial statement assertions, and key controls.
  • Maintain a central data repository site for business process and control owners to upload all supporting documentation required for financial statement audit requests.
  • Responsible for updating and reporting to Controller on all regulatory reporting to include deficiencies.
  • Assist with special projects and other accounting functions on the direction of the Controller.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance
  • Knowledge of regulations and guidelines
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to communicate with others (Verbally and Written)
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint Software (Desired)
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with little to no direct supervision
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
