Salary Range: $34.98 - $44.12

Position Summary

Under general direction, coordinates the day-to-day audio-visual operations within the Anatomy Lab. This role also provides audiovisual, technical and event support.


Job Responsibilities

  • Provides routine equipment maintenance and escalates more complex cases to supervisor.
  • Maintains a knowledge base of current and future related technologies.
  • Assists with the design, development, implementation and evaluation of courses, scenarios, simulation tools, research studies and other educational initiatives to measure learning outcomes.
  • Shoots video and photography, set-ups and tears down equipment, shoots live events for broadcasts and future production.
  • Edits raw video, selects music, designs digital video effects
  • Creates online teaching programs for teaching Gross Anatomy and functional Neuroanatomy to Medical students and PA students at Weill Cornell medical College in New York and Qatar
  • Coordinates events with internal staff and remote sites.
  • Sets up equipment and conference rooms, adjusting configurations for training sessions and meetings. Formulates contingency plans in case of emergent issues.
  • Plans and directs video production, including filming, editing, sound mixing, graphic design and compression output of a wide range of products.
  • Provides guidance and supervision on video production principles, practices, techniques, technology and standards.
  • Maintains a clean, safe and optimal learning environment.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment and/or reagents.
  • May assist with cost control.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • High School Diploma

Experience

Approximately 2 years of work experience with all aspects of film and video production

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and answer inquiries that have a direct impact on the review process of human subjects research protocols.
  • Maintains strong interpersonal communication, problem solving and analytical skills. Capable of providing support and encouragement to organizations undergoing change.
