FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY
Seeking an association attorney who is carrier oriented to mentor and develop into a top family law attorney (2 to 6 years litigation experience).
You will be trained directly by the principal who was ranked by her peers as among the top 5% of Illinois Family Law attorneys. You will be involved in all aspects of family law including parentage, dissolutions, paternity, negotiations, orders of protection, financial settlements, and related family law issues. This is a rare career opportunity as the principal has decided to take on an associate. You will also have exposure to being a child advocate as the principal is routinely appointed by judges as Guardian Ad Litem, Child Representative, and Parenting Coordinator.

Critical Requirements: A law degree from an accredited law school. You need to be detailed oriented. You also need to be comfortable in a court room, managing a file and communicating with clients.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· 2 – 6 years of litigation, preferably in Family Law
· High level of organization / multi-tasker
· Ability to handle a busy case load
· Experience drafting pleadings
· Experience in court and has conducted hearings
· Ability to think critically on your feet
Location: Edgebrook neighborhood of Chicago (near Peterson and Cicero). Open to flexible and partially remote work arrangements.
Hours: Full time.
