Job Description
Addison Northwest School District is seeking an ideal candidate for the Athletic Groundskeeper to prepare and maintain school grounds, athletic facilities, and equipment. Custodial responsibilities include general maintenance and cleaning to keep the school building, out buildings, campus, and grounds in top operating condition. Responsibilities rotate based on the season. This is a 30 hour/week position.
Primary responsibilities:
Clean, maintain, and prepare grounds year-round as seasonally appropriate.
Prepare and maintain athletic fields during the fall and spring seasons.
Indoor event preparation and administrative duties during the winter season.
Setup and breakdown of sports specific equipment (goals, backstops, dugouts, bleachers, etc).
Perform general custodial work (trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, etc.).
Maintain equipment.
Prepare locker rooms for visiting officials and teams.
Set up/break down the main lobby area and public bathrooms for events.
Field Maintenance and outdoor facility maintenance of out buildings.
Report and document any faulty equipment to the facilities manager including fire alarms, vehicles, sewer/septic, water lines etc.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Previous employment in school setting preferable
Basic knowledge of field sports
Experience in the operation of power equipment and construction vehicles
