General Purpose of the Position:
As an inside Associate Sales Representative (ASR), you will assist in strategically promoting and selling Rankin products to meet our customers’ needs primarily thorugh phone and email communication. You will work hand in hand with the Full Line Account Manager to track your progress, and proactively communicate your wins with your Account Manager and push yourself to exceed each goal. When communicating with clients, you use your product knowledge, quick thinking, and strategic selling skills to solve problems and inform pathologists, lab managers, technicians, and other staff as to the features and benefits, proper use, and maintenance of our products. You excel at discovering client needs and finding the right solution to fit those needs. You take great pride in excellent service and are prepared to assist a customer whenever the need arises. As an ASR, you love living in the fast lane, are extremely competitive, and find purpose in selling Rankin products that aid in the diagnosis and research of cancer and other diseases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report directly to assigned Account Manager, working with the AM as a team to generate new and recurring business.
- Drive sales of equipment, consumables, supplies, and service to exceed targets in order to achieve the goals of the organization and your team.
- Utilize, optimize, and maintain the CRM for effective and productive outbound activity.
- Qualify inbound leads from all lead generation sources and execute prompt initial contact.
- Schedule, organize, and execute needs discovery calls.
- Generate quotes for customers on all product lines.
- Manage an accurate and organized follow up schedule within the CRM for all open opportunities.
- Penetrate existing accounts to develop more business, and maintain positive and beneficial relationships with the key decision makers within the accounts.
- Generate new leads by contacting prospects by way of cold or warm calling and emailing.
- Create opportunities for sending samples to clients for evaluation.
- Follow up with sample opportunities in an effort to switch the client to use Rankin products.
- Assist in the sale, preparation, delivery, and installation of full laboratory setups to ensure a smooth and positive experience for the client.

Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Professional sales training, or 1-2 years of B2B sales experience
