Overview:
Calspan’s Flight Research center is home to a fleet of experimental aircraft that include Learjets, Gulfstream G-III’s, and a Premier. Additionally, we support the VISTA X-62A at the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards AFB, CA. These aircraft are used to conduct a variety of experimental flight test programs for our private and government customers. We are looking for an Associate Program Manager to provide program-based support to meet customer deliverables. Responsibilities:
  • Support customer programs by assisting with report creation, documentation and enhancements. Work with internal team to outline program timelines, resources, and deadlines.
  • Work with engineering and technician staff to create an inclusive, detailed customer deliverable package in alignment with customer requests. Track internal team progress to ensure project deadlines are being met and notify internal stakeholders of potential risks.
  • Oversee customer program close out activities. Work with internal teams to submit and track deliverables; ensure all documents are completed and submitted to customers.
  • Maintain databases and oversee reporting upload process. Regularly, review, track, and file test plans, protocol documents, and workbooks. Conduct Quality Control on deliverable.
  • Partner with management and vendors to ensure on-time delivery and proper traceability, as per customer and/or Calspan Flight EAFB needs. Conduct customer satisfaction review and provide feedback to management.
Qualifications:

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually

Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • 1+ years of applicable experience; or
  • A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to above

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and productive working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Basic accounting and finance skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel; working knowledge of desktop publishing and digital graphics
