Summary:

Provides focused project/program management services to projects/programs. Acts as primary liaison and lead for the customer. Oversees the coordination and management of projects by monitoring project status, timelines, and budgets. Acts as the chief liaison between the customer, business development, and the project team facilitating the flow of information between all parties. Works closely with laboratory management to ensure that the project deliverables meet customer expectations and financial commitments. Mentors Project Managers


This role will implement and manage new and existing projects in a manner consistent with Precision for Medicine's mission and management philosophy by developing and maintaining logistical plans and making recommendations to customers on study designs that increase quality and efficiency.

  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining

Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight and coordination of customer portfolio for high value or pivotal client account studies.

Provides oversight to internal departments and external customers to ensure the project requirements are understood, agreed to and followed at all times; this requires negotiating and real-time decision making with the client. Facilitates the flow of technical and clinical laboratory information to all stakeholders. Consults and utilizes, where appropriate, the scientific input of laboratory management and technical staff to assist the customer with management of the project

  • Direct and define project and study management activities for team members related to their project- oriented tasks to ensure that project/program milestones are met
  • Assist customers and collaborators in the design and implementation of new studies
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of new projects
  • Create, track, and report on project timelines
  • Communicate with customers and collaborators with regard to data management, inventory control, shipping procedures, etc. for all assigned areas
  • Produce and distribute status, tracking, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Respond in a timely manner to all events
  • Coordinate data gathering
  • Prepare and present project information at internal and external meetings; prepare reports and correspondences to customers, collaborators, and oversight
  • Meet all revenue and gross margin objectives assigned to projects, project expenses, and customer billing
  • Create/track/report relevant metrics for business and project measurement
  • Assist senior staff, as required
  • Identify out of scope project work; escalate findings and action plans to appropriate parties
  • Manage all tasks in an efficient and timely manner, ensuring customer expectations are met/customers are delighted
  • Engage with all repository operations through interacting, coordinating, and prioritizing activities
  • Ensure quality control procedures are executed
  • Enforce GMP/GLP/ISO regulations and standards
  • Review, update, and evolve all documentation associated with project(s) to approvable status
  • Lead the development of proactive contingency plans to mitigate risk across projects
  • Accountable for the financial oversight and goals for project/program

  • Ensure that work product complies with design and performance standards, regulatory environment, and customer expectations. Enforce standards applicable to each step in project execution; develop, lead and implement continuous improvement for assigned projects and programs
  • Identify, resolve, and assist in resolution of operational issues
  • Influence and shape the direction of project management, including recommendations regarding policies and practices
  • Participate in functional and/or corporate initiatives, special project assignments, and as a customer liaison or departmental cross-functional liaison
  • Monitors assignments and adjusts priorities and work schedule to meet deadlines and provide high quality deliverables. Completes additional tasks needed in support of project, customer and departmental

objectives

  • Source and make recommendations on new business opportunities
  • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned

Qualifications: Education:

Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field (e.g. engineering), plus a minimum of 8 years of project management experience; in some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.


Other Required:

  • Excellent computer skills and experience with MS Office/MS 365 applications
  • Proven track record of coordination and communication with team members across disparate technical and business backgrounds such as R&D, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Executive Management, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
  • Able to work in front of a computer for long hours at a time
  • Exceptional understanding of project management and data analysis
  • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional research and reporting skills
  • Extended work hours may be necessary in order to meet business demands
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Exceptional use of judgment and discretion
  • Able to read, write, and fluently speak and comprehend the English language
  • Proven track record of being a team player, willing to interact proactively and productively
  • Must possess a valid driver's license; must be able to travel both domestically and internationally, including overnight stays (~10-15%)

Preferred:

  • Master's or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related field
  • Experience with financial management, including building and managing budgets and financial reporting
  • Experience in cellular, molecular or biochemical science such as hands-on research or lab experience in cellular biomarker analysis, protein-based assays, next-generation sequencing, IHC, or PK/PD assays
  • Experience with project management software

Precision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.

$110,000—$155,000 USD
