The Associate Media Planner is expected to be an active participant on the business; consistently engaged and contributing ideas and insights that will benefit the team and the client. The AMP will be expected to have a basic understanding of the client’s overall business and marketing objectives. The AMP is responsible for supporting the media team with various ad hoc requests, including but not limited to the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attend vendor meetings to gain understanding of latest trends and potential opportunities

Pull competitive reports- evaluate and develop analysis based on findings

Utilize internal tools to better understand target market/audience and analyze insights

Work with media team to enhance understanding of media tools/software, research and media trends

Responsible for the execution of media opportunities, including but not limited to: requesting vendor contracts, reviewing to ensure details match approved plan, inputting details into proprietary system, sending insertion orders to vendors

Work closely with finance team on processing and approving vendor invoices
REQUIREMENTS:

4-year business degree or equivalent in experience and education preferably in Communications, Marketing, or Advertising

Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook), use of Keynote a plus

Basic understanding of digital and traditional media channels (print, radio, OOH, TV)

Strong written and verbal communication skills
