Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Eliquis marketing role will have the primary responsibility of leading the strategy and execution for new and innovative commercial model opportunities and deployment of technology-based advertising and promotion. This position will play a critical role in further solidifying Eliquis’ position in the market by winning in innovative ways. In addition, this position will support market expansion plans and resources for Eliquis across approved indications, as well as helping to shape cardiovascular (CV) leadership for the franchise.

The position will report to the Director, Market Expansion, Commercial Model, Strategy and Operations, US Eliquis Marketing and be part of the US Eliquis Marketing team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the strategic brand choices and lead execution of key initiatives to evolve brand customer model, including but not limited to customer segmentation capability, identification of new promotional channels, and channel optimization

  • Explore, pilot, and scale new business models, keeping patients and customers at the center, to empower patients and enable best-in-class experience

  • Drive market research and interact with customer-facing teams to identify and leverage deep customer insights

  • Contribute to the development of promotional strategy and materials across professional and consumer to support market expansion business opportunities

  • Partner with CV Matrix Teams to support long term financial, strategic and brand planning processes for ELIQUIS as well as any subsequent CV portfolio additions

  • Work closely with other members of the CV Matrix Teams (i.e., medical strategy, sales training, sales operations, professional marketing, consumer marketing, payer marketing, market research) to ensure successful and timely execution

  • Work collaboratively with medical, legal, and promotional compliance team (PReP) to develop and execute high impact marketing materials

  • Contribute to senior management briefings

  • Drive partnership and data exchange with US marketing, medical, sales, finance, market research, analytics, and worldwide marketing

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BA/BS with MBA strongly preferred; or PharmD with relevant commercial experience

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare-related industry preferred

  • Position requires strong strategic thinking and ability to structure ambiguous challenges and opportunities, along with an ability to drive the execution of initiatives ranging from pilot to large scale.

  • Position requires ability to approach problems with speed and rigor, interpret data and ask thought-provoking questions, and identify innovative solutions to marketing challenges

  • US Marketing experience, especially experience interacting with the sales force preferred, consulting experience a plus. Demonstrated success working with and leading matrix teams

  • Experience in managing external resources and partners, including advertising agencies; Experience in utilizing primary and secondary market research

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills, excellent communications skills
