Position Description:

The Associate Director role will be responsible for assessing potential 3rd parties based on virtual care insights and capability segmentation to build out a priority set of targets to add to our virtual end to end patient experience road map. This role will leverage the strategic criteria that has been developed to guide the assessment of potential 3rd parties and frame RFPs that shape ultimate solution design including risk mitigation strategies. Once approved & prioritized the Associate Director will collaborate with LillyDirect platform lead to manage the project to bring 3rd parties into the LillyDirect ecosystems including data integration when that is part of the solution. The Associate Director will assume the day to day relationship management, ongoing, program measurement & evaluation, and budget stewardship once the 3rd party becomes part of LillyDirect ecosystem.


Responsibilities:

Key Objectives/Deliverables: The Associate Director’s responsibilities are listed below.

Objective 1: Lead the pull through of Virtual Care Insights, Patient Segmentation and Factor Analysis work (30%)

  • Work to build out a learning plan to drive both near term insights that can help us understand patients, markets, and key factors related to Virtual Care utilization AND help us monitor this rapidly changing marketplace. This will allow the team to proactively pivot and adjust to stay relevant to patients.
  • Based on insight work develop a segmentation of Key 3rd party capabilities by each potential capability vertical set (Telehealth, Distribution, and Health & Wellness)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional enablers to pull through the framework that guides selection criteria by capability vertical set and LillyDirect inclusion strategy.
  • Pull through SWAT, SMO and Procurement guidance to the 3rd Party solution design prior to finalizing agreements and into the terms of MSA/SOW.

Objective 2: 3rd party Virtual Solutions Design, Approval and LillyDirect pull through (60%)

  • Provide project leadership to the 3rd party solution design for selected and prioritized capabilities.
  • Collaborate with LillyDirect platform owners & cross functional enablers to in integrate 3rd party solution into the virtual end to end patient experience.
  • Provide 3rd party oversight and relationship management with regards to WWTP, service agreements, program measurement, budgeting, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Work with CEH & Brand partners to develop any brand content, generate awareness, and/or provide access points to new 3rd party capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Lilly subject matter experts; other CEH teams, SWAT, Legal, Regulatory, IDS, Lilly Marketing Studios to capture proof of concept guidance and facilitate Program/pilot approval.
  • Lead & facilitate the development and execution of project plan to validate the solution
  • Collaborate with 3rd Party to develop an ongoing measurement, assessment, and refinement process.

Objective 3: External Benchmarking of Virtual Care solutions and Impact on Human Behavior (10%)

  • Attend conferences to gain insight, perspective and connections with regard to new solution space or learning
  • Connect with people at Lilly and digital health industries who are operating with for the same purpose to share learning and best practice.
  • Bring together cross functional Lilly subject matter experts to advance virtual care and digital solutions for patients.


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 years of industry experience and/or one of the following:
    • Previous P3 Marketing or Marketing IDS Assignment (if internal)
    • Equivalent digital marketing/industry experience
    • Experience in effectively leading cross-functional SMEs

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Pharmaceutical or digital healthcare experience/expertise
  • Proven track record of seeing opportunities and helping others see them.
  • Demonstrated ability to see the bigger picture and connect dots that build advocacy and support that propels projects forward.
  • Ability to use internal and external analysis to identify key areas of new and long term opportunity for individual brand and across the portfolio
  • Experience with developing and acting on diverse customer insights
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to be proactive in problem identification and solution development
  • Self-directed, strong project management and prioritization skills
  • Experience with Behavioral Economics
  • Experience with Virtual Care
  • US Affiliate marketing materials approval process experience (PCA, FCAP, QCLT - if internal)
  • Experience leading through ambiguity to create direction
  • Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complexity
  • Strong decision making skills and proven ability to influence others
  • Experience working with agency and external partners
