Position description
Lead a project examining the ciliary signaling in the motor circuit of the embryonic zebrafish using light activate dreceptors and fluorescent biosensors and behavioral imaging. This project utilizes many disparate skills: molecular biology techniques to construct the receptors and fluorescent biosensors, zebrafish handling, imaging, and biochemical techniques to express the biosensors, make stable lines, and image the embryonic zebrafish, and finally image analysis in MATLAB to quantify the output of the biosensors and of motor function of the fish. Oversees the work of one undergraduate student and aid in the training of rotation students.
