Assistant Project Manager

POSITION DETAILS:

The Assistant Project Manager responsibilities include working closely with our Construction Project Manager to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, and budgets for projects. You will perform various coordinating pre construction tasks, schedule, and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries. Experience with ComputerEase, SAP, and Ariba

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to read plans, understand the permit process and work some evenings
  • Will attend client meetings Must be available to travel as needed for project visits and/or onsite project support Must be available for overnight and weekend support Pre-Construction Planning Solicit subcontractors and qualify bids from subcontractors Assist in establishing project scope, goals and completion requirements Determine staffing, material and equipment requirements Set up and attend conference calls Source materials and equipment Obtain any necessary permits or licenses Ensure that project has adequate staff, all materials and equipment onsite prior to project start Contact store management to confirm start dates, times and scope of work Create job codes in accounting program. Enter estimated expenses and revenue Assist with preparing, signing, and emailing Purchase Orders when needed
  • Ensure receipt of daily reporting from onsite Superintendents and upload to share drive Project Execution/Closeout Review daily reporting for accuracy. Field calls from field crew and store personnel Monitor the progress of project Ensure that all closeout documents have been received, including sign offs, photos, videos, and certificate of occupancy Arrange for equipment removal Prepare invoices/payment applications as required by the client Working

Responsibilities

Proven work experience as a Construction or Preconstruction Project Coordinator or similar role required Experience in Retail or Industrial Construction project management, from conception to delivery required An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans required Knowledge of and experience with staffing projects preferred

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • BS in Business Administration or related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
