This is a unique opportunity for an entry level assistant, PGA Member, or a motivated individual with a golf background, to assist managing the public golf facility at Bella Vista Golf Course in Montgomery County, Pa.

Working under the Head Golf Professional, the ideal candidate will be overseeing all golf related events and responsibilities on a daily basis in absence of the professional. A strong background in public daily fee golf is desired, along with computer, league/outings and general golf operation management skills. It is paramount that the candidate possesses strong social media skills and an ability to market and advertise.

The assistant will be scheduled for some Pro Shop opening/closing and swing shifts, in addition to shifts overseeing the Pro Shop and outside operation staff while on duty. Holidays and weekend hours are an expectation of this position. There are on and off site lesson opportunities, as Bella Vista GC has a short game area only.

Knowledge of GOLFNOW Reservations POS system and GolfNow Central integration are a major plus. Experience with Golf Genius and GHIN computer software is also advantageous. Ability to take charge of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) will be a point of emphasis, as well as attracting and retaining play from leagues, outings and junior play.

Customer service skills are essential to this position and are key to running an upscale hospitality environment. The candidate will need to show exemplary work ethic, meticulous attention to detail and a passion for collaborating with people. Applicants with experience working for first-class hospitality organizations will be strongly considered. Strong communications skills will be needed between the golf staff and F & B team members will be important to the success of this position.

The Assistant will be expected to be on property five days a week, approximately 35-40 hours per week.
