Job Overview
The Office of Admissions is searching for an Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment that will lead the centralized efforts to recruit prospective graduate students to the University of Cincinnati in partnership with over 350 graduate degree programs and certificates. The Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment is a new position that will be charged with working with the programs, centralized admissions team, and other key stakeholders like the Graduate College, International Student Services, and UC Online, to develop and execute a centralized graduate student recruitment strategy aimed at increasing graduate student enrollment in certificate, master’s, and doctoral programs.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Graduate Admissions, the Assistant Director will be responsible for the development and management of a graduate recruitment strategy, partner with programs on recruitment initiatives, and develop a graduate student visit & event calendar. The person in this role will need to maintain a knowledge of current best practices in graduate student recruitment and enrollment strategy, so a love of learning and enthusiasm for recruitment practices is a must. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and excited to collaborate with campus partners and prospective students. Previous experience in event/visit planning is also a plus. The ideal candidate should also have a passion for customer service and a data-driven decision-making approach.
This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement for applicants with a residence within OH/IN/KY. Hybrid work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the determination of policies and procedures for the recruitment and admission of students.
- Advise and maintain liaison with the directors of various projects and special programs on campus and in outside agencies regarding admission of target populations.
- Coordinate admission of students including counseling students and parents, reviewing applications, determining eligibility, and recommending alternatives whenever appropriate.
- Assist in determining budget needs for respective areas.
- May coordinate student recruitment for assigned geographic area.
- Lead efforts associated with a function of the Office of Admissions such as recruitment, communications, events/visits, operations and processing, or the recruitment of strategic populations and associated programs.
- Represent Office of Admissions at state and national professional meetings, college fairs, etc.
- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Required Education
Bachelor's Degree.
Required Experience
At least (3) years of relevant higher education experience in areas such as admissions, graduate programs, student recruitment, student services, orientation, student success, event planning, or campus visits.
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or College Student Personnel.
- Experience with CRM software.
- Prior experience in recruitment or territory management, working with graduate programs, or event planning.
- Previous experience supervising student or professional staff.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
- Dedication to professional development.

- Competitive salary range $48,000 - $53,000 dependent on the candidate's experience.
