Working across multiple business units responsible for configuration and administration of search engines including Coveo/IDOL, design, develop and implement software applications utilizing Java and search APIs, consultations, and implementation of new features including machine learning and natural language processing; install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools; evaluate existing systems and provide technical direction; oversee development of customized vendor software and hardware requirements; plan and implement systems automation as required for enhanced efficiency; formulate and design security systems in place to maintain data safety; oversee so as to ensure constant availability of application. Company operates on hybrid model with three days in office and work-from-home available two days.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or another closely related field and five years of experience in job offered or in IT positions including Programmer Analyst and/or Senior Programmer Analyst and/or Senior Software Engineer. Background in education, training or experience must include search engines including Coveo, IDOL, FAST, Solr; coding languages including Python, JavaScript, Java, LUA, PowerShell; working knowledge of Linux RHEL 7 or 8 and Windows; understanding and implementation of cloud technologies including AWS; understanding of Agile techniques (Scrum and/or Kanban); experience with teams involved in project management, security, operations, and client service departments so as to resolve issues; conflict resolution, analytical, and decision-making skills.
