Application Engineer - Engineer in Training Program
Job description
Position Overview:
Wurth Industry of North America is looking for recent graduates with a Bachelor of Science degree from a university’s school of engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Manufacturing, Eng. Technology, or related field) to provide technical support for multiple engineering disciples. This program is an 18-24 month rotating program, allowing experiences in each engineering discipline to understand the structure and responsibilities. Upon completion of this rotational program, Engineer in Training will be placed into a position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBITLIES include the following and all other duties assigned:
- Application assistance – offering solutions to our customer as to the best performing fastener for each application. Considering the need to standardize and emphasize lowest in place cost
- Offer VA/VE proposals to help improve efficiencies and performance over current design or process
- Develop relationships with customer Engineering teams to integrate into their culture and better serve their industry and internal goals
- Quality liaison to complete a root cause analysis into reported issues
- Assist with teardowns and line walks
- Part to print reviews
- Technical review of drawings
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Manufacturing, Eng. Technology, or related field
- 0-4 years of experience.
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills
- Organized with the ability to work cross functionally
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, work, outlook, etc.)
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, while working with a team to deliver high quality of work
