The Saywitz Company owns, manages and maintains close to 100 multi-family and commercial real estate properties throughout Southern California. We are headquartered in Newport Beach and the company is looking to expand its maintenance and construction department in the Coachella Valley where it owns 25 apartment buildings. The company is expanding and is looking for an individual with previous experience in construction, apartment maintenance, turns and/or renovations. Applicants must currently live in the Coachella Valley, as all of the work will be focused on our properties in Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Cathedral City, Bermuda Dunes and La Quinta.

This apartment maintenance technician will assist with the following responsibilities:

* Provide ongoing maintenance on a daily basis for the company's existing properties portfolio
* Work orders and maintenance requests for individual apartments
* Ongoing maintenance, construction and renovations at the properties
* Installation of kitchen cabinetry
* Electrical switches and plugs
* Light fixtures, ceiling fans and bath vanities
* Replacement of shower doors, toilets and general finish work
* Replacement of light fixtures and hardware within the units
* Properties include apartments, condos and townhomes
* Job will entail driving to various properties to perform the work
* Position reports directly to Head of Construction
* Position is available immediately
* Position is for full time work
* Candidate must currently be located in the Coachella Valley
* Candidate must have reliable transportation and cell phone
* Position provides for hourly pay, additional opportunities for weekend work and additional compensation as well as reimbursement for gas expenses
* Position will be provided with a company credit card for the purchase of materials
* Final pay determination will be based on qualifications and skill set

Please include in the information provided a work history, salary history and listing of any contractor licenses or specific skill sets. Candidates do not need a general contractor license however, any specific licensing or sub-trade experience is a benefit. Spanish speaking is also a plus.
