Security Services
The Security Services Department's overall mission is to ensure a safe and secure environment and protect MIT Lincoln Laboratory at all facilities in which staff members perform their mission of research and development. To accomplish this mission, this department formulates and implements policies, plans, and actions designed to protect facilities against threats of vandalism, accidental destruction, and sabotage; and safeguards personnel, classified and unclassified information systems, personal identifiable information, property, and other assets from exploitation and recruitment by foreign intelligence agencies.

What will you do?
Be part of a high functioning team responsible for the 24x7 monitoring and dispatching of any alarm received within the Security Operations Center.
General:
- Monitor multiple parking lots and update the mobile parking application and digital displays
- Monitor parking lots for illegal parking
- Monitor the CCTV systems and its related equipment
- Monitor and operate the security alarm system, make proper notifications, and record all information
- Monitor and react to the Facilities Management Systems
- Monitor and react to Network Communications Center
- Dispatch security personnel to respond to alarms
- Operate Laboratory two-way radios
- Respond to and provide updates to responding emergency personnel for all emergency "911" calls, fire and gas alarms
- Be knowledgeable with the operation of all equipment and processes in alarm control
- Operate and test public address systems and panic buttons
- Create, edit, and send emergency notification messages as directed

What you need/Requirements:
For this position, you must meet these basic requirements.
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- 2-5 years of direct/related experience. Post high school education will count toward experience.
- Experience in alarm control, fire department and/or police department alarm system monitoring and/or dispatching
- Knowledge of computer-based systems
- Must be organized with the ability to multi-task and be able to work well under pressure
- Demonstrated capabilities in presenting ideas written and orally required.
- Must be able to work any shift and be available for overtime
- The successful candidate will be subject to pre-employment investigation and must meet all eligibility requirements for access to classified information including compartmented programs
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
