Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Seven years of increasingly responsible experience in aviation administration or a related field, including five years of administrative or management responsibility. Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in professional aviation, business administration, public administration, or a related field. Accredited Airport Executive (AAE), Certified Member (CM), Airport Certified Employee (ACE), or similar certifications are strongly preferred. Valid driver’s license. Must obtain Oklahoma driver’s license within thirty days of hire. Possession of Certified Member (CM) accreditation from American Association of Airport Executives. Must obtain within two years of hire. Possession of Airport Security Coordinator certification. Must obtain within 3 months of hire. NIMS ICS 700, 100, 200, 800, 300, 400 (in this order). Must obtain within 1 year of hire. Ability to pass requirements for TSA background check for issuance of Secure Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge. Pay Range: $95,056- $121,880.00 DOQ annually plus comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k, Annual leave, Sick leave, Holidays, and Personal Days. Provide executive leadership and is responsible for planning, directing, managing, and overseeing airport operations; financial and property administration; facilities maintenance; airport security; fire protection; air service recruitment; and public relations. Will also coordinate assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies and provides highly complex administrative support to the City Manager’s Office. This position reports directly to the Deputy City Manager.
