Agency Multifamily Lending, Conventional Screening - Vice President
Job description
As a Vice President on the Off-Balance Sheet and Agency Lending team, you are in charge of working with the originations teams throughout Commercial Real Estate to ensure a smooth process for multifamily Agency loans, establish and maintain effective relations with internal business partners including sales, processing, closing and legal, and the Government-Sponsored Agencies.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a deal pipeline of Agency (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) loans across the country.
- Review and/or complete loan sizing templates and approval memos, and provide oversight/training for junior associates/analysts to obtain internal and Agency approval and issue term sheets.
- Review/communicate Agency terms/programs internally and externally, including with bankers, credit teams and clients.
- Coordinate with origination, internal credit, and Agency to identify/mitigate major key risk to stakeholders and refine/solve any issue with quote.
- Understand Agency pricing and work with Commercial Real Estate pricing desk for quotes.
- Upon loan application, be responsible for smooth transition to underwriting team,
- Act as liaison with internal stakeholders and be available for assistance when necessary
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- A Bachelor's degree or higher
- Minimum of 5-7 years of real estate lending with background in Multifamily Agency lending, including credit considerations and financial analysis
- Ability to provide oversight and training to others
- Strong organizational and execution skills including ability to multitask and work independently across various levels in the organization.
- Ability to work with clients and internal stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated with strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
