Assistant Aftermarket Sales Manager

BASIC FUNCTION

The Aftermarket Sales Assistant Manager, reporting to the Aftermarket Manager of DeLaval Dairy Service (DDS) New York, is responsible for managing, developing and growing the Aftermarket and Consumables business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the sale of Aftermarket and Consumable products within Eastern NY, Nothern NY and in Vermont both on the farm and over the phone.
  • Aftermarket and Consumable products include Hygiene products, rubber goods, milk filters, and soaps and chemicals.
  • Prepare plans and lead efforts to develop Aftermarket and Consumable sales programs, responsible for lead generation.
  • Develop and maintain value-added services for the customers, such as wash-ups and troubleshooting services, liner and hose changes.
  • Responsible for riding with team members and supporting the sale and follow up
  • Ability to do cold calls on your own.
  • Generate leads for service opportunities and capital sales including small and large capital.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction in the region.
  • Leverage marketing intelligence from what competitors do in the market.

  • Ability to serve as a dairy consultant – understanding the issues on the farm and providing appropriate solutions based on DeLaval’s product lines.
  • Ability to travel is required.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Computer skills including using Excel.

EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND

  • High School degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in the dairy industry strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a commercial environment or sales role strongly preferred

Work Location: Argyle NY location, Potsdam NY location and surrounding areas including Vermont.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
