Description: We are Lockheed Martin

Manager of Air Vehicle Operations for F-16 Combined Test Forces, Edwards AFB, Ca. Responsible for leading, directing, and managing 416th Flight Test Squadron, aircraft engineering driven maintenance activities for the F-16 program. Provides local Project Test Management contractor oversight and support for F-16 contracts. Effectively communicates with the Senior leadership of IFG, Program Directors/Managers, local AF leadership, US Government Program Offices and DCMA. Provides people and processes to plan, coordinate and execute affordable aircraft maintenance solutions across all flight test disciplines. Performs Full Spectrum Leadership duties and EVMS CAM Support as required Responsible for the following products; Flight Test Plans, Procedures and Reports. Manages flight test requirements development and definition, flight test execution, and identifies and mitigates program safety, technical, schedule, and cost risks, Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, salary and recognition/disciplinary actions. Assigns aircraft test team duties, reviews the team's work product, provides mentoring and on-the-job training for team members. Participates in technical and test planning meetings to include flight test readiness review boards, Test Execution Package reviews, flight clearance reviews and Aircraft Operating Limits reviews

A level 5 employee Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
Flight Test experience required. Leadership experience required to manage a team of 10+ people integrated with the USAF.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Desired Skills:
Experience with and knowledge of Edwards AFB Practices and Procedures in addition to knowledge of the F-16 and/or F-22 aircraft / weapon system.

Experience with managing aspects of flight test such as; Flight Operations, Maintenance, Configuration management, Aircraft Modifications, Avionics Flight Test, Flight Science Flight Test, Instrumentation and Data Processing.

Experience with Earned Value Management System.
Experience with Project Management.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $135,800 - $256,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
