Job description
Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. With a 50+ year foundation, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.
SCOPE
The Network Administrator III will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, design and implementation of complex network solutions while assuring performance levels, security, customer experience and network uptime meets/exceeds business service levels.
Must be hands on and proficient in all technical aspects of MS Active Directory and M365 GCC High environment including user administration, system security and configuration, virtualization, storage, diagnostics, performance measurement, troubleshooting, and optimization.
The successful candidate will thrive in a team environment driven by a customer ticketing system and improvement projects with the ability to rapidly absorb complex technical requirements and create sound, resilient engineered solutions.
- Perform hands on design, installation and maintenance of MS Windows Server 2019+, Active Directory and M365 GCC High in a highly available, multi datacenter, digitally secure corporate enterprise IT environment.
- Perform configuration and maintenance of M365 Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive including the management of licensing.
- Perform configuration and maintenance of server roles including certificate services, domain services, LDAP, file and storage, print services, IIS, and DNS as well as system backups.
- Perform new deployments of MS domain controllers, SQL Servers, application servers and infosec security systems both on prem and in the M365 GCC High environment.
- Install and maintain Dell EMC SANs and VxRail hardware and OSes as well as multiple VMware host clusters.
- Create and assist in the implementation of Infosec policies.
- Analyze and diagnose complex technical problems across all technology layers for quick resolution through the use of diagnostics tools.
- Assist in network capacity and disaster recovery planning.
- Participate in on call support for escalations and after hours change management.
- Assist in Network Security audits, scanning, and penetration testing tasks.
- Assist in the development of standardized vulnerability assessment testing and remediation.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a LAN/WAN system administration/engineering role performing duties at all levels of the network stack.
- In-depth and hands on knowledge of MS Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, and Dell EMC storage
- Experience working in a complete help desk ticketing environment.
- In-depth and hands on knowledge of Microsoft server and applications including M365.
- In-depth and hands on experience working with Dell hardware.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and security hardening best practices.
- Must be able to speak/read/write English.
