We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who has a detailed and proven understanding of full-cycle accounts payable processes. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Accounts Payable and is located in Gaithersburg, MD.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Accurate and timely processing of invoices for approval and matching invoices to related Purchase Orders and Receipts
- Help provide and prepare supporting documentation for external auditors and other consultants
- Follow up on invoicing issues and payment inquiries with internal/external customers
- Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management
- Processing of expense reports through the Concur System, as needed
- Participate in the month-end close process
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations and analysis
- Assist with year-end A/P duties, including filing of Form 1099s, etc.
- Performs other duties as required to support the Finance Department
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable/Accounting experience
- B.S. Degree in Accounting or related field preferred but not required
- SAP S4 Hana experience required
- Manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience a plus
- Government Contract and Project Cost Accounting experience a plus
- SageX3 and SAP system experience a plus
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be proficient in MS Excel, as well as have general PC skills.

- Experience working with other departments
- Must be proactive, enthusiastic and motivated to learn new skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels within the company
- Experience using the Concur Travel and Expense System
- Highly flexible and ability to work effectively in a team environment
This position requires periodic weekend/evening work.
