We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who has a detailed and proven understanding of full-cycle accounts payable processes. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Accounts Payable and is located in Gaithersburg, MD.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Accurate and timely processing of invoices for approval and matching invoices to related Purchase Orders and Receipts
• Help provide and prepare supporting documentation for external auditors and other consultants

• Follow up on invoicing issues and payment inquiries with internal/external customers

• Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management

• Processing of expense reports through the Concur System, as needed
• Participate in the month-end close process
• Assist with monthly account reconciliations and analysis
• Assist with year-end A/P duties, including filing of Form 1099s, etc.
• Performs other duties as required to support the Finance Department

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable/Accounting experience
• B.S. Degree in Accounting or related field preferred but not required
• SAP S4 Hana experience required
• Manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience a plus
• Government Contract and Project Cost Accounting experience a plus
• SageX3 and SAP system experience a plus
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be proficient in MS Excel, as well as have general PC skills.

This position requires periodic weekend/evening work.
