OVERVIEW OF ROLE: Match is seeking a 3rd-6th Math Curriculum and Intervention Specialist who can join our team for the 2023-2024 school year and beyond. The Math Curriculum and Intervention Specialist will improve Math growth and achievement in 3rd-6th grade at Match by serving as a curriculum resource and as a leader. The person in this role will provide communication, resources, technical assistance and professional development to school leaders and teachers around Math curriculum and assessment.

The Math Curriculum and Intervention Specialist will support instructional leaders in tracking and analyzing important math assessment data to drive instruction and plan interventions. The position is based at Matchs elementary school (Match Community Day), located on 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park, and Match Middle School (215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain).

This is a hybrid position, with up to 2 days/week of remote work time. The Math Curriculum and Intervention Specialist will report directly to the Chief Schools Officer. The compensation for this position starts at $88,000 and can be higher based on prior experience.RESPONSIBILITIES: Math Curriculum Implementation : -Review current math instructional strategy and audit existing curriculum.-Collaborate with instructional leaders and teachers to support curriculum implementation;-In conjunction with school leaders, plan and deliver professional development on Math curriculum and instructional strategies;-Codify instructional methods and work to ensure vertical alignment. Math Assessment and Interventions: -Coordinate math assessment windows, logistics and communication;-Collaborate with instructional leaders and teachers on standards based grading and rubric creation;-Monitor and track math growth and achievement data;-Coordinate with the leadership team to ensure that teachers have the time and tools required to analyze math data and create action plans, and serve as a resource during analysis and action planning; support instructional leaders in providing feedback to teachers on their action plans;-Identify and communicate math assessment data trends to instructional leaders and collaborate with them to create instructional initiatives and grade-level specific professional development;-Identify students of concern and collaborate with instructional leaders and teachers to make intervention plans.Districtwide Responsibilities: -Consult on curriculum alignment beyond the grade span in which they are directly responsible.-Collaborates with other curriculum specialists and Deans of Curriculum and Instruction to ensure program coherence and vertical alignment.QUALIFICATIONS: Research has shown that people of color and women are less likely to apply for jobs if they dont believe they meet every one of the qualifications described in a job description.
