3K Teacher and Child Care Team Member
Job description
The Teacher/Team Member shall be chosen by the Center Director, overseen by the Pastors of Bethel Baptist Church and the Learning Center Board.
1. Qualifications
a. An employee shall meet a minimum requirement of 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED certification.
b. An employee shall be in good health, meet all necessary state requirements, and may be subject to random drug screenings.
c. Preferred qualification: Six (6) months of experience as a teacher/caregiver in a licensed, approved, or registered child care facility.
d. Complete a total of 15 hours of training annually.
2. Requirements
a. Display and teach Christian morals and values.
b. Possess a love for and concern for both children and adults.
c. Have a basic knowledge and understanding of child development.
d. Be willing to grow and learn.
3. Responsibilities
Bethel Child Care and Learning Center is a faith-based child care facility, providing care and education to children ranging from six (6) weeks to 12 years old. It is a Team Member’s responsibility to help provide and maintain a
Christian environment in which the children may grow physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and spiritually. Working with the Director, a daily schedule will be planned to ensure education and care is age-specific for the children the
Team Member cares for. The Team Member will maintain the schedule, giving each child the attention needed to ensure their best welfare (this relates to eating, toileting, sleeping, playing, working, health care, safety, etc.). Record of significant incidents and experiences observed in the child should be documented and any suspicion of neglect or child abuse should be reported to the Director immediately. Team Members will need to attend team meetings as scheduled by the Director or Learning Center Board.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour
