StampTech Fasteners TM Division Description:
The ITW StampTech Fastener TM Division serves the major OEMs and Tier suppliers in the North American automotive market. The division supplies stamped metal fasteners and engineered fastener assemblies that leverage our deep-draw stamping technologies. The annual revenue for the division is approximately $160M. Locations include Gallatin, TN, Lexington, KY & Naugatuck, CT.

The Header Threader Team Leader will be responsible for assisting team members with technical issues or advanced problems while operating complex cold heading machine equipment. Tasks include, but not limited to: setup, adjust and operate part forming equipment, making machine adjustments keeping very close tolerances, and performing minor repairs while working in a safe, efficient and high quality manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Understands, follows, and enforces all established safety, health and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices
- Conduct training of new employees and coach existing employees
- Assign work to employees and ensure it is executed in a timely manner
- Provide feedback to Manager on EE issues, concerns, performance, etc
- Escalate production and personnel issues to manager as needed
- Read and interpret blue prints
- Maintain machine and tooling lubricant and follow all preventive maintenance practices
- Coordinate with the toolroom for tooling needs and needs of the machines and other equipment
- Set-up and tear down set-ups on Headers & Threaders, perform tooling changes, and perform minor repairs to equipment
- Load stock onto de-coilers and perform coil welds
- Verify material usage per standards
- Complete and sign-off on all paperwork.
- Make frequent on time SPC checks on products being produced from established quality standards
- Communicate processing information to designated personnel on incoming shift
- Operate a forklift or hand truck.
- Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards
- All other duties as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent along with 5-7 years of manufacturing experience is required
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with operating a forklift
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Effectively communicate in a professional demeanor when dealing with the public or any level of employees.
- Demonstrate good problem-solving skills and possess communication skills.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work overtime

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee could be exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Safety toed with slip resistant shoes, safety glasses and earplugs are required on the plant floor
