Job description
Responsible for loading and unloading trucks and tubes, operate machinery, and keep records of items loaded and unloaded into the cooler using the twelve-pallet forklift.
Experienced driving is required.
1. Understanding that only small low loads are to be moved using the 12-pallet forklift. All loads are to be moved in reverse.
2. Understanding that speeding is never allowed.
3. Follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers that are to be moved.
4. Inspects all machinery prior to use to ensure safe operations, such as the oil levels, water, hydraulic oil, and fuel (if the lift is ½ or less on fuel, fill it).
5. Inspects and ensures product upon arriving to avoid dumping pallets in the yard.
6. Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, using banding material as necessary.
7. Maintains work area and equipment clean.
8. Coordinates hand-off activities with other workers to ensure compliance with loading procedures.
9. Follow Safety procedures and GMP rules and regulations, such as: ensuring the back-up alarm is always working, all lights turn on when moving in reverse, and the safety seat belt is always to be worn.
10. Other duties as assigned.
